Marilee Marcotte was born in Sudbury, Ontario. She articled with the McTague Law Firm prior to joining the firm in 1991 and became a partner in 1996. She attended Laurentian University where she received an Honours Bachelor of Economics. Ms. Marcotte then attended Queen’s University and completed a Master of Industrial Relations. She was a Lecturer for two years at the University of Windsor, School of Business, prior to commencing the study of law at the University of Windsor. Ms. Marcotte practises solely in the representation of Employers throughout Ontario in labour and employment law matters. Specifically, Ms. Marcotte represents public and private sector organizations with respect to grievance arbitrations, Labour Relations Board proceedings, Human Rights issues and Pay Equity issues. She also represents management clients in actions for wrongful dismissal and regularly provides day-to-day management advice with respect to ongoing labour and human resource matters and interpretation of labour and employment legislation.
