William Willis was born in Windsor, Ontario. He joined the McTague Law Firm Business Law Department in 2006 and became a partner in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Willis practiced in the Financial Services Group of a national law firm in Toronto. Mr. Willis advises clients in connection with all business law matters, including acquisitions and sales, secured and unsecured financing transactions, contract negotiations and reorganizations. Mr. Willis is also the articling students’ principal.
Mr. Willis is a graduate of the University of Windsor Law School and was the recipient of the Board of Governors Medal for attaining the highest standing among all graduates in the Faculty of Law. As well, he was also the recipient of the prestigious Law Society of Upper Canada Treasurer's Medal for attaining the highest standing in all of Ontario in the Bar Admission Course.
In addition to his business law practice, Mr. Willis is a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor Law School where he teaches the Securities Regulation course.
